In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped bell peppers and diced onion, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add 500g of lean ground turkey to the pot, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, approximately 7-10 minutes.
Stir in 2 teaspoons of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt. Mix well to coat the turkey and vegetables with the spices.
Pour in 400g of canned diced tomatoes and 0.5 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty turkey chili.
