Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Season the tuna steaks with salt and black pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
While the tuna steaks are cooking, prepare the tomato salad. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and the remaining olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the tuna is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing it.
Serve the sliced tuna steak on a bed of the tomato salad and drizzle with lime juice just before serving.
