A simple and budget-friendly pasta dish with spaghetti, tuna, and a flavorful tomato sauce.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 0.5 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Add oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Add canned tuna to the tomato sauce and gently break it up with a spoon. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Serve hot, garnished with additional oregano if desired.
