Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chicken, teriyaki sauce, and a small amount of water.
Cover the bowl with microwave-safe plastic wrap, leaving a small gap for steam to escape, and microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
While the chicken is cooking, microwave the rice according to package instructions.
Divide cooked rice into serving bowls.
Once the chicken is fully cooked, stir well and spoon over the rice.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired before serving.
