A sweet and savory Hawaiian grilled chicken dish with a lightly charred finish.

In a bowl, combine 0.5 cup of soy sauce, 0.25 cup of brown sugar, 0.25 cup of pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, and 1 tablespoon of ginger to create the marinade.
Add 4 chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and the chicken is nicely charred.
Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
