In a medium pot, cook 1 cup of basmati rice according to package instructions.
While the rice is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 500 grams of sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add 0.5 cup of soy sauce, 0.25 cup of mirin, 2 teaspoons of grated ginger, and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Meanwhile, in another pan, sauté 200 grams of broccoli and 200 grams of bell pepper in a tablespoon of oil until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
Once the rice is ready, fluff it with a fork and divide it among four bowls. Top each bowl with the beef mixture and sautéed vegetables.
Drizzle with additional soy sauce if desired and serve hot.
