In a bowl, combine 0.5 cup gochujang, 0.25 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 4 cloves garlic (minced), and 0.25 cup chopped scallions. Mix well to form the marinade.
Place 1 kg beef short ribs in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the beef ribs from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are well charred and cooked to your liking.
