A hearty Brazilian stew made with black beans and savory meats, perfect for a cozy meal.

In a large pot, cook 200 g of bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the fat in the pot.
Add 500 g of beef steak, cut into cubes, to the pot and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add 1 medium diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves, sauté until softened.
Stir in 400 g of canned black beans (drained and rinsed) and 500 ml of water. Add the reserved bacon and beef back to the pot.
Season with 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tsp of cumin, and 1 tbsp of bay leaves. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook on low heat for 45 minutes.
Serve hot with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes.
