A delicious Italian-American baked pasta dish featuring ziti, sausage, and a rich garlic-parmesan flavor.

Preheat your oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit).
In a large pot, cook 250 grams of ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 250 grams of sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned.
Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in a can (400 grams) of diced tomatoes, salt, and black pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ziti, sausage mixture, 100 grams of grated parmesan cheese, and 2 tablespoons of butter. Toss to coat evenly.
Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle 100 grams of shredded cheese on top and bake for 20 minutes until bubbling and golden.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
