A lighter, gluten-free version of the classic Italian-American Chicken Parmesan, made in an air fryer with rich garlic and parmesan flavors.

grated
Preheat the air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius.
In a bowl, combine 0.5 cups of grated parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 large egg and 1 tablespoon of water.
Dip each chicken breast (about 500g) into the egg mixture, then coat with the parmesan cheese mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, lightly spraying them with olive oil.
Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Serve hot, garnished with additional parmesan and fresh basil if desired.
