warm
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit).
In a large bowl, combine 2.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Gradually add 1 cup of warm water and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook 250 grams of sausage, breaking it apart until browned. Drain excess grease.
Roll out the dough to fit a 12-inch deep dish pizza pan. Press the dough into the pan and up the sides.
Spread a layer of 1 cup of shredded cheese on the bottom, followed by the cooked sausage, and then 1 can of diced tomatoes seasoned with 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs.
Top with another cup of shredded cheese and sprinkle with additional herbs if desired.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
